Point Pelee Engagement Session, Emma Davidson, Photographer

You've heard of Romeo and Juliet, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, possibly even Chandler and Monica, but I'm betting you've yet to hear about Nick and Maryia. Nick grew up in the farming town of Leamington while Maryia grew up in Belarus, Russia. Their unlikely paths are two that ended up falling madly in love after meeting one another while studying nursing. I was lucky enough to get a glimpse into their story when they asked me to capture their engagement photos.

With every engagement session I try to make it special to the couple, fitting to their story. It may not be apparent for the average person peeking at their photos but this session was important to both of them. Nick used to work at Point Pelee National Park and now they spend time as a couple biking the trails and creating many memories together. So, Point Pelee was a no brainer. Maryia wanted to include her style and wanted more than anything to look Russian. Being herself was an important part of telling her story. How do you think we did?
